Outside Japan, however, opportunities to discover genuine Japanese craftsmanship remain limited. Even when these works are available, the stories behind the artisans, the history of each kiln, and the cultural significance of every piece are often left untold.

A Message from the Founder
My name is Hisanori Igarashi, and I founded JP-ART to share something I genuinely love with people around the world.
Growing up in Japan, ceramics were always part of everyday life. They appeared on the family dining table, in our homes, at festivals, and during traditional ceremonies. At first, they felt ordinary—but as I learned more about them, I came to appreciate the extraordinary craftsmanship behind every piece.
I became fascinated by the years of training devoted by skilled artisans, the precision required to control the kiln, and the unique beauty that can only be achieved through true handcraftsmanship.
JP-ART was created to make these exceptional works accessible to collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.
More importantly, I hope our store helps bring greater recognition to the talented artisans and kilns who continue to preserve Japan's rich ceramic traditions.
