Katsushika Hokusai was one of Japan's greatest ukiyo-e artists, best known for masterpieces such as The Great Wave and the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji.
Although Hokusai himself was not a Kutani Ware artist, his iconic imagery has inspired many contemporary Kutani Ware pieces. Designs featuring dramatic waves, Mount Fuji, and dynamic landscapes are beautifully recreated using Kutani Ware's vibrant overglaze enamels and fine hand-painted craftsmanship.
